The “Handmade Journal-Making: Dancing with the Page” workshop is about  giving the physical pages of the journal meaning through is constructed  form and then marrying the form of the book with the forms and meanings of words and images. How the books opens, the pages unfold, what these pages reveal and conceal all add to the storytelling. Responding to what is at times unexpected in the construction of the journal acts as a prompt for the storyteller. Learning to think through the physical construct of a “dancing” journal  also provides inspiring methods to alter the journals in response to the storytelling. A dance. Partners in creation.
