Hamsa Mandala 23 Nov 2016

Hamsa

Hamsa is also known as the Hand of Fatima (Islam) the and the Hand of Miriam (Judaism) and Hand of Mary (Christianity). For the three Abrahamic faiths, in general, the eye in the palm of the hand is used to represent the all-seeing nature of the omnipotent supreme-being who is a protector from evil. For Hindus and Buddhists the five fingers of the Hamsa represent the five sense and the energy within chakras.
